The University of New Mexico will host an environmental justice public forum titled: “Decolonizing Nature,” which will include a four-day interdisciplinary conference convening in the NHCC (April 19-22); a two-week long companion exhibition at 516 ARTS (April 15-29); a one-day film screening at the UNM Art Museum (April 18); and a community event, «Abrazos: A Community Celebration of Environmental Justice» at the Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge, being organized by our conference partners, Friends of the Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and the Los Jardines Institute (Earth Day, April 22).
The conference and all associated events are free and open to the public but registration is required.
