THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORSEEN CONSTRUCTION SLOW DOWN.
This workshop is for those who wish to add service dog training to their existing program or are thinking about starting a new service dog organization. We will provide information on the essential components necessary for a solid service dog program. Whether you are already an experienced dog trainer or are new to the industry, this workshop is for you. Paws and Stripes trainers and staff will introduce you to appropriate levels of skills proficiency, service dog program models, components of thorough program development, case management techniques and much more. This workshop does not focus on any specific disability or health concerns; however, participants will have an opportunity throughout the week to interact with Paws and Stripes Teams in training as well as those that have completed the Paws and Stripes Program. Rather than focusing on the Paws and Stripes model or skills training, this workshop provides the basic principles and elements of training service dogs and working with clientele with disabilities. If you are interested in developing a working relationship with Paws and Stripes, you will have the opportunity to schedule time to meet with representatives of Paws and Stripes regarding the requirements, of which this workshop is one.
