ADDAMS FAMILY: THE MUSICAL AUDITION CALL
Strong need for experienced singer/actors, but also opportunities for beginners who wish to gain experience in acting/singing/dancing.
The production team for The Addams Family is as follows:

Albuquerque Little Theatre will be holding auditions for the musical production, THE ADDAMS FAMILY on the weekend of August 12 & 13 (Saturday and Sunday), starting at 10 AM. Auditions will consist of two parts. Individual vocal auditions will be scheduled from 10AM-3PM; Group choreography auditions will be from 4PM-6PM. Auditions will be held in the 2nd story rehearsal room at ALT, 224 San Pasquale SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104.
ACTORS MUST ATTEND BOTH VOCAL AND CHOREOGRAPHY AUDITIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL ROLES.

with your name, age, acting resume (or list of performance experience), a headshot (or recent photo), and contact information (phone number and email address). After receiving your email, you will be given a time slot for your audition.
For your audition please prepare a 1-minute (32 bars) audition song and bring sheet music for a pianist accompaniment. Also dress accordingly (or bring a change of clothes/shoes) for choreography auditions.
ALT will be holding auditions for the following roles for THE ADDAMS FAMILY:

Gomez Addams, Male, 40s-50s, Tenor / Bb2-G4 — A passionate man of Spanish descent who takes great pride in his family and revels in all macabre Addams traditions. He struggles with having to keep
his daughter’s secret from his wife, whom he adores more than death. Smart, comedic actor/singer.
Morticia Addams, Female, 40s-50s, Mezzo-Soprano / G3-Bb5- Darkly sexy woman who holds the balance of power in the family and often seems like the only emotionally mature member of the clan. An easy comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit. Feels her husband is hiding something from her and will use any tactic to lure the secret out. A strong Mover/singer.
Wednesday Addams, Female, 18-21, Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano / A3-E5 — The ultimate “princess of darkness,” she has the same dry wit and sensibility of her mother. Finds love with a “normal” boy (Lucas) and wants their families to meet. Experiences the youthful drama that comes with first love.Only Lucas can actually put a smile on her face. Strong pop belt vocals
Uncle Fester Addams, Male, 30s-50s, Tenor / C3-C5- Serves as the musical’s narrator. He is larger than life, an energetic, joyous, child-like presence. A vaudeville style comedian/singer.
Grandma Addams, Female, A Feisty 102 yrs old, G4-F5 — Fun and quirky, but don’t mess with Grandma. Comedic actress with strong character vocals.
Pugsley Addams, Male, 12-13, Unchanged Voice / A3-Eb5 — A charming, funny, husky boy who loves being tortured by his sister. He wants to ensure he won’t lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takes matters into his own hands. Strong, high vocals.
Lurch, Adult Male, Bass / Eb2-E4 — The Addams’ very tall butler who speaks in moans and grunts and shambles around the mansion. Character actor with low voice.
Lucas Beineke, Male, 18-21, Tenor / C3-C5 — All-American guy who fell in love at first sight with Wednesday and plans to marry her. Experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love and struggles with the differences between his and Wednesday’s families. Contemporary pop vocals.
Alice Beineke, Female, 40s-50s, Ab3-G#5 — Mother of Lucas, so devoted to her family that she puts aside her own desires. Quirky, sunny, and prone to speaking in rhyme. While at the Addams
Family dinner party, she drinks a potion that causes her to let her hair down and speak her truth. Comedic actress and singer.
Mal Beineke, Male, 40s-50s, C3-A4 — Stuffy father of Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice. A one-time follower of The Grateful Dead who has lost that side of himself. Always looking out for his family.
The Ancestors Male and Female Ensemble, Varied Ages- Ensemble singer/dancers who are smart performers. Ensemble singer/dancers with a fun, quirky sensibility.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY will perform from October 6 — 29, 2017
Curtain is at 7:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:00 PM on Sundays. There will also be at Thursday performance on October 19, and a Saturday matinee on October 14.
Rehearsals are typically Sunday through Thursday evenings 6:30 PM-9:30 PM (Some Saturdays may be included.)
