Hungry For Art is a one-night only, pop-up gallery show that benefits the Canvas Foundation, which gives funds to underfunded public school art programs. This event is in its third year in Portland and first and Albuquerque. Local ABQ beneficiary is Kimberly Smock at Ernie Pyle Middle School. Her program educates 150 to 170 students a year and due to budget cuts has $125 to stretch accross a year.
Event is free though suggested donation of $5 is strongly encouraged. With donation patron will recieve a raffle ticket for a sweet grab bag or grab bags from The Canvas Foundation and Metal The Brand as well as entered into the COLORING CONTEST!
Kid friendly though be advised some of the art has vaginas on it so as long as you're cool with explaining or redirecting questions of vag, you'll be golden.
Free food from 8 to 10pm.
