This juried show will feature works that are created using primarily discarded, cast off or reclaimed materials. The jury is specifically looking for work which transforms these materials into something of beauty or meaning. It can be a creative expression that moves beyond the original materials. All of these words apply: recycled, upcycled, salvaged, discarded, found, organic materials, repurposed- not just reused as a surface for a painting. The resulting work could also be functional or decorative, hung on the wall or sculptural, for use indoors or outdoors.
