CNM Central New Mexico Community College and Oasis Albuquerque are teaming up to bring the first ever New Mexico Leadership Summit on August 17, 2018. This all-day educational and inspirational event features seven national and local speakers. Catered lunch is included with a live performance by Hillary Smith and The chill House Band.

SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

Linda Alvarado, born in Albuquerque and co-owner of Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies, is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Alvarado Construction, Inc., a large firm in Denver that builds multi-million dollar facilities. Alvarado is the first Hispanic to become an owner of a Major League Baseball team.

Drew Dudley, founder of Day One Leadership, has spoken on five continents and has been featured on The Huffington Post, Radio America and TED.com, where his “TED Talk” was voted one of the 15 most inspirational TED Talks of all time.

Michelle DuVal, owner and founder of The Mindful Center, has been a keynote speaker and trainer at dozens of major events. She has been providing mindfulness trainings in corporate settings for over 15 years.

Dr. Marcus Goodie Goodloe travels the country mentoring business professionals, athletes, entertainers, students, educators and faith communities on a range of issues including cultural and interpersonal relationships, leadership, teamwork and faith.

Randy Mascorella is the Executive Director of Special Olympics New Mexico, and has devoted her career to impacting people’s lives through sports. She leads 3,300 athletes and more than 6,000 volunteers at Special Olympics New Mexico, and serves on committees for Special Olympics North America.

Dr. Garnett S. Stokes the first female president in the 129-year history of The University of New Mexico — UNM, has served in a variety of leadership roles at the University of Missouri, Florida State University and the University of Georgia.

Dr. Katharine Winograd, in her 12th year as president of Central New Mexico Community College, was named Western Region CEO of the Year in 2013 by the Association of Community College Trustees, the same year CNM won the national Student Success Award from the American Association of Community Colleges.

Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.
Summit 8:30 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $120

All-day event, lunch accompanied by live entertainment, and other materials including two books: This Is Day One: A Practical Guide to Leadership That Matters by Drew Dudley and Habits: Six Steps to the Art of Influence by Marcus Goodloe as well as an online course from Drew Dudley.
